After two years of strict lockdown, traveling is slowly making a comeback. More and more people are exploring wonderful sites and places around the world. As travel restrictions ease down and Covid-19 vaccines were rolled out, more and more people are steadily gaining the confidence to book tours and plan vacations.
Because of this, the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) is organizing its 29th Travel Tour Expo and 7th International Travel Trade Expo at the SMX Convention Center Manila. The three-day event is currently being held from June 24 to June 26.
“I think now is the time to travel so rather than just sitting down at home and watch, I would suggest you have to go and walk to SMX and brave the future of travel,” said Michelle Taylan, PTAA president.
The expo remains to be the biggest travel trade show in the Philippines, with at least 142 exhibitors. The face to face event is participated by various prestigious companies and national travel organizations (NTOs) worldwide like Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), among many others.
Furthermore, it will be offering both domestic and international promos, as well as convenient tour packages for both domestic and international travelers.
“They can also there a lot of promo deals, travel packages, which is a lot cheaper rather than buying it individually because our exhibitors are already offering one package so they can already buy a tour package that already includes the airline hotel tours and full board meals,” Taylan said.
“They can get a lot of savings. If they are going to participate in activities they can get discount vouchers from our participating exhibitors, tour package, hotel airlines full board meals will be cheaper on their part rather than buying one by one from direct supplier,” she continued.
According Taylan, this year’s expo is even made more special as there will be raffle draws, corporate game shows and performers from Korea.
“We prepared a lot of events and activities. They can see also their favorite actors and actresses locally and internationally – not to mention the names. We also have Korean artists who will be coming but I cannot mention the name yes. For sure, they will expect a lot of surprises.
“We will also be giving away giveaways and there will also be raffles. All visitors who will be registered will be included in the raffles. They could even get free round trip ticket for the raffles, free hotels and other freebies that we prepared for them,” Taylan added.
Travelers may choose their travel schedule on the event, as well as their favored transport vehicles whether on sea, land or air. Travelers may also obtain travel insurance on the spot.
To observe safety protocols, only vaccinated individuals will be allowed at the expo. Social distancing will be implemented and there will be a medical team and a standby ambulance by the area.
Tickets are available for P50 and for only P30 for senior citizens. The expo is open at 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 25 and 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 26.
