Day 1: Vacationer Sights
As substantially as seasoned tourists like to say they want to travel like the locals, most tourist points of interest are there for a purpose. On day 1, we like to knock out as lots of touristy things as doable to have far more flexibility to wander afterwards on in the excursion. I know this is a sizeable list for the to start with working day, but quite a few of these are near to every other and quick stops.

While I would not lump this with all the usual tourist points of interest, accomplishing this initial will give you a larger appreciation for almost everything else you take in and do on your excursion.
Oh, did we mention that you get bottomless drinks? They experienced wine, beer, mimosas, and bloody marys. It was a exciting way to start the day but a little bit risky for all those of us (me!) with minimal to no self-control.
This was our initial cooking course, and the instructor taught us new cooking expertise and gave us perception into Cajun/Creole delicacies and heritage. You can also check with them for all the meals recs.
We acquired a prospect to make preferred nearby dishes like Seafood and Okra Gumbo, Crawfish Pie, and Banana Foster Crepes. At the conclude of the class, you get to preserve the recipes and aprons you cook dinner in as souvenirs.
If you never have time for a palms-on cooking course, there are demonstration classes where you can observe the cooks cook and then consume what they make.
Pro Suggestion: You can view them make new pralines at the front of the keep, and they hand out samples. We picked up a few of containers as souvenirs for pals! You really don’t will need a course for these.
Alternative: If you really do not have time for a cooking class, grab lunch at Peche. We in particular loved their Fried Bread and Spicy Floor Shrimp + Noodles.
